strange...

ok. i had lots to say like 4.3 seconds ago and now i have gone totally blank.

i guess i'll tell you about my dream last night. it was soooo weird.

so my friend becki is having a baby. a baby girl. and i probably wont get to see her till she is a year and a half old. sad day huh? anyways. last night in my dream my friend had had her baby. and i was going to see her. and the baby was REALLY small. like were talking SMALL. like ...................... maybe that big. crazy. and she was attached to a necklace thing. pretty much the baby was a necklace....(now as i am writing this. it seems a bit creepy?) anyways, its wasn't creepy at the time. just strange. so i am trying to hold this baby. and for some reason its not going very well. i kept losing my hold and having to hold on to the chain....so weird. so then i gave the baby back to her and she put it in a car seat and we left....from where ever we were. and then when we got to where ever we were going....i lifted up the blanket and there was a real, cute, normal sized baby in there. and i was just like...wow she sure does grow fast.......the end.

so. strange.

my weekend was crazy.

we replaced the water heater. and my dad was putting in new pipes and stuff.

so we had no water or gas for almost two days.

ugh.

then the power was off for about 2 hours on sunday.

ugh.

it was crazy.

but its fall now. i like fall. i think i like the in between seasons the best.

Here are some pictures of my house. It's comin' along....We actually have stairs on the deck now (they are really finished.) And the kitchen is messy. Cause we only have bottom cupboards at the moment...makes finding things a little difficult since there all over the house. And that is the little brothers head sticking out of the ceiling.

The music video? its ok. first half is kinda trashy. But i think the second half is hilarious. no clue why. i laugh really hard everytime i watch it though. Cause i've watched it a few times now...

when you see a person. And it totally, completely, makes your day? or week? or even month?

Well my month has been made. And since its the end of the month we'll say its good for September and October.

i hear someone crying.

So in case you didn't know my little brother got the flu (again) 2 weeks ago. Then he got pneumonia. So needless to say he has missed a few days of school the past 2 weeks. So now he is a little (a lot) behind in math. And this makes my mother a little (very) stressed. And for some reason her stressedness makes me feel stress for no particular reason and not even necessarily about the little brother.

And now there is a fly in my room. I can hear him buzzing around. And that doesn't make me feel stress. It just kinda pisses me off. We have now moved away from the mosquito era and into the fly and spider era...with the occasional moth. There was a giant wolf spider on my floor the other morning. I killed it.

Did i tell you about my weekend? Well it was good, I mean, staying up till 2 every nights means you had a good weekend right? I think so. Friday was fun. Saturday was FUNNER though. I went to the USU homecoming game (they won). I saw lots of people there. Then we went to the white out dance. To bad I didn't have anything white though. By far one of the funnest dances I have been to up there though. For lots of reasons.... it was outside which was way cool, plus it wasn't 3 million degrees. I saw some people there too. Super duper fun.

Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. By Brandon Mull. It finally came in at the library! I was like number 57 in line to get it.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. By JK Rowling. I started reading the 5th Harry Potter book again. I'd have to say it's one of my favorites. I love me some Harry Potter.

Where the Wild Things Are. By Maurice Sendak. It's being made into a movie. And every time i see the commercial for it i get the chills. I am so excited!!!!

Today i...

Took the dogs on a walk.
and listened to enrique on said walk.
met my mom at her work to acquire a birth certificate.
got a flu shot.
ate costa vida. yum. yum. yum.
saw saren and her mom. in a slightly random place.
came home.
let my brother rave on about how awesome my mission is going to be.
sat on the computer for at least 2 hours.
i think i found a cute calf length dress....we'll see.

now i'm off to make dinner!!

California part 2

I'm so sorry. I haven't felt the need to finish blogging about my awesome trip. So I will do it now...even though it seems like a long time ago.

OK.

DAY 2.

We were originally going to go see these redwoods that are just outside of San Francisco. So we got there. Drove 3 miles past the park to find parking. We got out of the car, walked about 4 feet and decided to go to the beach instead.

Then on to the beach!! So very fun. All these pictures are ones from Saren's camera.





People played in waves. And me and Saren flew away.














I. Loved. The. Ocean.

After lots of awesomeness at the beach we headed to see the Golden Gate Bridge!!

Thats where the real adventures started...

So we see the bridge. Drive across. Was way awesome. We go to a beach. Baker Beach. Cause it has a good view of the bridge and such. So we get there. Park.

We are walking out to the beach. I walk past this boy. He coughs and falls to the ground... Nate kinda poked him cause he wasn't saying anything and then checked his pulse. Then these other people walk up. Real adults. The dude checked his eyes and straightened him out. He was having a seizure. The lady called 911. After a jew minutes...he just gets up and walked away...didn't say a word...he turned around in the parking lot and gave a little wave...it was so strange.

So then we get on the beach. Are walking along. saren and Jessica got all wet cause one of the waves came rushing up and they couldn't get away from it fast enough...then....we see this man. Were like...thats a log of flesh coloring clothing....oh no. HE WAS NAKED. ugh. OLD. NAKED. MAN. we all avert our eyes as he walked past...



So we continue on. Take pictures. Get ready to go around a rock...and there is another one. sun bathing this time. TWO. NAKED. MEN. ugh. so disgusting. They didn't believe me at first...i couldn't believe it. gross. Then a nice asian man took our picture and gave us lots of advice about what to go see...even though we were done seeing things. And Logan lost his shoe in the waves...twice.












Then we walked back. Saw the naked man again...he only walked up and down the beach like FIVE times while we were there. It was pretty (the bridge/ocean). The waves were big. I could have been there all day. Then we woke up at 5 the next morning and drove all. the. way. home. ugh. long day. So worth it. So fun! I'm ready to go again. (and go to alcatraz this time!)

Californiaaaaaa...Californiaaaaa...here we come

I went on a road trip this awesome Labor Day weekend! It was so very much fun. None of us thought it would really happen so i am glad that it did.

This is what happened.

We left at 5:30 on Friday...in the evening...so we got to our super crappy hotel around 2 that night. It was slightly creepy. Next morning. We woke up. Tahoe is way pretty. We drove around the lake a little before shooting back up to get on I 80.















This was at the rest stop at the Salt Flats. We were there for like 30 minutes taking pictures. It was one of the funnest parts of the trip.

Then....we started off. We made a quick stop off at the Jelly Belly factory. We decided against a tour though...Then we drove some more (There was a lot of driving on this journey). We parked the car at the train station and road in to San Francisco. I love to ride the train/subway. Then we walked around a lot. And it got windy and misty and I got cold. But I survived.

A few places we went to were...Lombard Street...the most twisty road ever known to man kind or something.

And...we ate at Fishermans Wharf. And went to Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square.
















And Chinatown!

Hmm....Thats about it for Day 1 of San Fran. We stayed at Logan's aunts house that night and sunday. Which was awesome. Cause she fed us and had the most adorable dog. And i don't think i could have stayed in another hotel like the first night....

twilight anyone?

ok. I've got a lot on my mind today i guess....well not really. Just this i guess.

so. Twilight. Yes, i've read the books. was I a fan....maybe? I read them all pretty fast...but i still think they're stupid. i always read books fast. soooo whatever. anyways. In the books though i am very much an Edward fan. He's awesome in the book. And attractive also. So book. Edward fan.

the movie though? Well that, I definelty thought was pretty dumb. I laughed out loud quite a few times during the movie. And Edward? Ugh. ugly. and not a good enough actor to be a good Edward. Ugh. THE HAIR. the hair is so awful. And he looks like he could be slightly handicapped in this picture to.

just. No.

not gonna work.

But Jacob on the other hand...



Just look at the boy.

He even gets to have short hair for some of the movie! (his long hair is pretty awful to...) But come on. And he might be a better actor to. And its raining. He even put on 30 pounds. of muscle. nice. and he acutally has a nice face. So movie. Team Jacob. Which i won't even be here to see.

helloooo september!

So september has started. The school year is already going by really fast. I have stuff to do know! Like going to institute. Piano is awesome! oh dear. Its awesome that I get to take piano for free. I am also going to west weber elem. on monday, wednesday, and friday to help sarens mom for a few hours. And its fun. I'm just doing busy work kinda stuff....which i like. And the kids are all way cool. WAY different from what i'm used to though. So its a good change.

And...we have started knocking walls down in my house. crazy.

And then there wasn't a wall. The picture doesn't really do it justice. They have knocked the walls down that were around the bathroom in my parents room to. Its crazy. This house is crazy. It will be awesome when its all finished.

Me and saren got pedicures yesterday!! we were determined to do this before she left on her mission. HOLY COW. pedicures are awesome. If you haven't had one. Get one. I would get one once a week if i was a rich person. Since i'm not i've only had 2 in my whole life.















It was so very fun. really. I want to go back. now. THEN. we went to our cooking class!! Saren got me a gift certificate for my birthday waaaay back in feb. We are just getting around to it now...it was so way totally awesomely fun. Plus you get to eat the food the chef person makes. And you get the recipes. So i will be making the best carrot cake i have ever had in my life very soon. mmmm... THEN. we went to Star Trek. at the HPER field. Love that show. THEN i left logan very late at night. And tried to not fall asleep on the way home.

i just bought a pair of neon green shoes. try not to be jealous.

i have to go pick my mom up from work today. boo.

Back to school...

or not.

Last night I was thinking that it was really weird that I'm not going back to school. There hasn't been any of the nervousness or anticipation of a new school year...its still summer isn't it? Heck yeah! ha ha suckers! Just kidding... It's kinda sad not getting to be up in Logan right now. I have never not gone to school. And since I still have TWO more grueling months of waiting till my adventure starts! It's weird. Good thing I have lots of things to keep me busy...like:

finishing the scrapbooks for me and the little bro.
doing dishes and laundry.
reading!
being on the computer....
uh...
oh yeah. chillin with my gma.
shopping. (i wrote a list of everything i still need....its long.)
umm...getting the mail.
picking up the little bro.
oh yeah, going to institute!
going to logan to see folks (this doesn't happen as often as it should, this week and next though!)

yeah...so as you can see, I am a super busy gal...hahaha. It really isn't as awful as it sounds, or maybe I am just used to it. But it seems like i am usually busy. oh well. I hope all you school goers have a grand day! Study hard! I hope you made a back to school playlist!

week in review.

ok ok. I'm sorry. I know you've all been sitting at your computers for the past week waiting for me to post. So here I am! taadaa....

Anyways...

.KINGS PEAK.


Was awesome.

It was 8 miles in to where we camped. 6 up and 6 back. and then 8 miles back out to the car. so...28 miles in 3 days. I thought I was going to die. I had a 30 pound pack. I figured I was gonna hike for a mile or so and then die. But it actually wasn't that bad. And. Confession. I didn't actually make it all the way to the top....you see...my brothers were way fast. And my parents were way slow. So by the time they caught up to me, they decided they weren't gonna make it to the top. And I wasn't about climb the last mile alone...cause its super steep and your just climbing over all these crazy boulders and stuff...so I almost made it...only 1 mile short. So I want to go again...Weather was awesome though. Usually it rains crazy hard. But it didn't for us. Super super duper windy though.



The night I got home. Which was last Saturday. I went to some fireworks with my friends. I couldn't walk cause I think I pulled a muscle or something behind my knee. So I was all exhausted and limping. But it was sooo worth it. Cause they had a dance after the fireworks. And it was a bunch of jr. high and high school kids standing around...trying to look cool. And myself and my friends were dancing around like fools. Literally. Well at least I know I looked like a fool. It was so very much fun though.

This Friday. I went to a friends cabin in Heber. We were up till 6 in the morning. Well thats when I fell asleep. The first person went to sleep around 4 and some never went to sleep. Good times though. We played that around the world pool game. And Nightmare! Have you ever played that?!? I had never heard of it. Its a board game and you watch a video with it. It was so crazy. Like an old school interactive dvd game. Only on vhs...so it wasn't really interactive. You just do what it says and stuff. and disturbia. and there was dinner. and...shark week on discovery channel. and my awesome oreo cookies. and mafia. hilarious.

And we went to some hot pools...i guess there called. They were sooo very hot though. I really couldn't even keep my feet in for more than a few seconds. But some of my crazy friends were swimming and doing cannonballs and diving in, the crazies.

and then.... (sorry i am posting about a million boring things. get over it.)

Katie (friend/roommate) got married on Saturday. So after getting less than 3 hours of sleep and an awesome breakfast I headed back down to Layton for wedding festivities. The luncheon was delicious. And the recep was way fun to. A bunch of the friends came and I got to see a bunch of people from logan that i hadn't seen in ages. Good food. Chocolate dipped strawberries. mmmm. And wedding cake. mmmm. good times. Then i came home and was in bed before 10:30 and slept for 12 hours. lovely. Saren has pictures of that joyous occasion though. so sorry. you don't get to see any from me.
